LOCAL EMERGENCY SERVICE
S.E.M is the emergency service of the village San Fulgencio that has been founded by the municipality of with the purpose of having an own medical institution.
Mobile intensive care stations, two medical experts and a head of technical medical service, available for the citizens 365 days a year make part of this service. It is ensured that within 5 minutes, every citizen who needs medical support, has access to the medical emergency station with qualified staff and, in case of need, can be transfered to the hospital.
S.E.M. is a classical example for the efforts of the municipality of San Fulgencio.
Their mayor, Dª. Trinidad Martínez Andrés, is worried about the quality of life of its habitants.
With this initiative, San Fulgencio is a pioneer and the only community of all 27 villages from the district of la Vega Baja that offer such a service.
